CM Shettar’s personal website hacked
For the hacker, no one is above board, not even Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar. The personal website of Mr Shettar was allegedly hacked by some people based in Pakistan who posted provocative and inflammatory anti-India messages on the site, said sources. The hackers also posted a few lines demanding free Kashmir.
The incident occurred more than 12 days ago and gains significance in the wake of the arrest of terror suspects in Bengaluru and Hubli recently. Squadm Technologies Private Ltd, which has been maintaining the website, has filed a complaint with the cyber police. Squadm managing director Praveen Kumar said the hacking occurred on September 14, forcing him to upgrade the security system after blocking the IP address of the website. A FIR has been registered with the CID police and the anti-terror squad is analyzing details uploaded on the site.
