Dip & rain: City chill & still
Bengalureans had to pull their sweaters and raincoats out on Wednesday as Cyclone Nilam in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu plunged the city temperatures, and brought incessant rains and heavy winds over the city. Six trees were uprooted and traffic was affected in most parts of the city.

It came down to 18.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday afternoon from 28 degrees on Tuesday. The maximum temperature recorded was 19.9 degrees Celsius,” said B. Puttanna, director in-charge, IMD, Bengaluru. He cautioned that the temperature could fall by another 2 degrees Celsius by Thursday.
The lowest temperature in the city – 17.3 degrees Celsius – was recorded at the HAL Airport.
