Gagged techie found dead in car

Mystery shrouds the death of a 25-year-old techie who was found murdered with his mouth taped, his hands and legs tied and a polythene cover pulled over his head, in his brand new black Volkswagen Polo around 9.30 am Tuesday in Mahadevapura police limits. The techie , Sreerag. S, who was from Calicut in Kerala, had worked for HP in the area for the last six months and lived with a friend, Vivek in a rented house in AECS Layout, Mahadevpura. His body was discovered by a few passers-by who became curious about the car parked on the road and went for a closer inspection. On seing him lying tied up on the rear seat with his head in the polythene bag , they immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot with forensic science experts and a dog squad.

His cousin Shayne, an employee with a private firm said Siraj had come to his house at around 7: 30p.m Monday evening for dinner and left at around 12.30 a.m. on his Yamaha bike. “We have no idea what happened after that,” he added. Siraj's friend, Vivek said he had returned home and they were up till 1: 30 am. " I went to bed later and woke up around 10:30am but could not find him in the house. It was only when a few passers- by informed me that I got to know about the incident,” he said.
