It's like trying to write when you're sitting on a bullock cart on a bumpy road," says Ms Jayanthi Lakshman, his mother. "His scribes were very understanding and friendly and managed to do a wonderful job even though Arvind's speech is not very clear. They showed a lot of maturity.”

Ms Jayanthi is full of gratitude for her son's school. “Bethany has been very encouraging and supportive of Arvind during his time in school. He has been wonderfully taken care of.”
