JD(S) meet has traffic in mess

Despite claims of JD(S) state chief H.D. Kumaraswamy that the Muslim convention at Palace Grounds would not hold up traffic in the surrounding areas, commuter were left to bear the brunt of the traffic mess on Sunday.

With a massive procession moving to Palace Grounds, traffic was badly affected around Windsor Manor bridge, Cauvery Theatre and Mekhri Circle underpass.

The situation was worse on Jayamahal Main Road towards TV Tower. The delay in the start of the convention too had a cascading effect as traffic movement remained crippled till late evening.

Traffic movement from Ramana Maharishi Road and Bellary Road towards the city also witnessed massive jams.
