At last! II PU results to be out before CET
If everything goes according to the plan, which is a rarity, second pre-university college students for the first time in history would get their results before the Common Entrance Test, which determines their placements in the much-sought-after engineering and medical courses. PU Board officials said the results will be announced in the last week of April, while CET is scheduled to be held on May 3 and 4. The valuation work has already started in seven district headquarters and if there are no strikes by lecturer-evaluators, the results will be announced on schedule. PU lecturers wait for the valuation season to go on strike to draw attention towards their demands, including low wages during valuation.
A senior board officer told Deccan Chronicle that science valuation has been taken up at the Bengaluru centre. “Arts and commerce answer scripts are being corrected in Bengaluru, Davanagere, Shimoga, Belgaum, Mysore and Mangalore. Science valuation is being done here as question papers leaked forcing us to postpone the exams.” PU Board Commissioner Rashmi V. said it is possible to give out results within 15 to 20 days of conducting the exams. “If the valuation work continues without any breaks, I am confident that the results would be out by month-end,” she added.
