Palike takes tech route to help citizens sort garbage

Bengaluru will witness a revolutionary change in solid waste management from October 1. Segregation at source has been made mandatory, but for those who do not know how to tackle dry, wet and sanitary waste, BBMP has created a page on solid waste management on the social networking site FaceBook. Volunteers and BBMP is sharing new ways of managing and segregating waste at source. One can ‘like’ this page and get going on solid waste management. Citizens can also share grievance and tips on the issue.

The civic agency has also created a dedicated mail ID for solid waste management which is also mentioned on the FaceBook page. One can write to swmcell.bbmp@gmail.com for issues related to SWM only.
