Prez to address Belgaum joint session

With the Suvarna Soudha getting ready for inauguration, the state government is planning a joint session of the legislature in October second week that will be addressed by President Pranab Mukherji.
Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar told reporters on Wednesday that the President has already agreed to the state’s invitation to inaugurate the Soudha. Highly placed sources told Deccan Chronicle that the government has fixed the inauguration for October 14 and will announce it officially within a few days.
“The construction works at the Soudha have been completed and the structure is ready for the big day. Leaders and officials have inspected the works at the Soudha and we have decided to inaugurate it and hold the joint session only after getting satisfied with the works,” he said.
