Sreeramulu loses mobile phone, peace of mind
The hunt is on! No, not for the founder of the BSR Congress Party, B. Sreeramulu who is on yet another padayatra, but for the mobile telephone of his trusted personal assistant, Ganapathi S. Naik.
His master’s shadow, the unfortunate Mr Naik stored every detail of every single one of Sreeramulu’s followers including the list of aspiring candidates, keen on contesting on the BSR Congress party ticket, important telephone numbers of leaders affiliated to various national parties, and exhaustive notes on politicians across party lines who have ties to the legislator from Bellary.
The Samsung Galaxy S II, which had a database for jailed minister Janardhan Reddy’s acolyte, went missing from his room at Legislators’ House, adjacent to Vidhana Soudha, two weeks ago when some 75 people came to meet him. Naik suspects one of the visitors may have nicked the handset.
Security is notoriously lax at the LH with no record of who enters and leaves the premises. Insiders say Sreeramulu’s main concern is that sensitive information could fall into the wrong hands. Police, tracking the case say the minute it is switched on, they will be able to track the phone.
