‘I’m a great dancer and no one can copy me’
Is he a good guy? Is he a bad guy? The confusion continues in Salman’s case and the actor loves it that way. While on the one hand he continues to get involved in brawls, on the other his philanthropic side manages to impress many. Recently, at the music launch of Ready, Salman made an effort to felicitate many workers and technicians who have been a part of the industry for over 40 years.
“Their efforts are not always appreciated. I have been working with them since my first film Maine Pyar Kiya. I was shooting for the song Dil Deewana during late nights near this temple, and these ladies would carry water all the way up the hill for us. I wanted to do my bit to show my appreciation for their efforts,” said the actor in the function that was held at the Film City studios.
As the evening progressed, Salman was getting wittier by the minute. When asked if he would do the role of a superhero if offered, he said, “I don’t want to be bitten by a spider to become Spiderman. Neither will I wear underwear on my pants to be Superman because I am already ‘Sal’man.”
It was said that choreographer Prabhudeva wasn’t too pleased with Sallu’s moves in Wanted. But in Ready, Salman’s jig in Dhinka Chika and Character Dheela Hai are chartbusters already.
“I’m a great dancer. It was Prabhudeva who had problems and kept asking for retakes. But the truth is, no one can copy my dance,” he laughs.
