Aamir not scared of Big B
Amitabh Bachchan returns to the big screen after a year with Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap on July 1 and coincidentally, Aamir Khan’s latest production Delhi Belly is also slated for release on the same day.
Aamir is not particularly perturbed by this. “I think films do release together,” he points out. “There is nothing new about that. Dil and Ghayal had come together at one time (in 1990), Lagaan and Gadar were also released together (in 2001), and Welcome and Taare Zameen Par came together (in 2007).”
Aamir feels two big films clashing on the same day doesn’t make a difference because “there are a lot of examples like these.” The actor insists: “If your film is good, audience would like to see your film. And if your film isn’t good, even a solo release won’t matter. There is space for two films in our theatres.”
