Aamir, SRK war heats up
Just when we thought the industry’s two biggest Khans have called it a truce, we get fresh news of Aamir and Shah Rukh going at it again. SRK’s production company Red Chillies, which makes entertainment-based TV shows, approached Aamir for a show that it co-produces with UTV. Aamir,
under the impression that UTV was single-handedly making the show, agreed to do it. All hell then broke loose when Aamir learnt that SRK’s company was producing it.
“Aamir has always had good relations with UTV and he was keen on being on the show. But when he learnt about arch-rival Shah Rukh’s involvement with it, the deal fizzled out,” says a source from Aamir’s office, adding that Aamir did give nephew Imran the green signal for the same show.
The show, Live My Life, features celebrities spending a day with a fan, introducing him/her to the celebrity lifestyle. “We have approached many stars including Imran Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha,” says Zarina Mehta of UTV Stars, claiming ignorance about the Aamir Khan fiasco.
With nobody wanting to enter the Khan-war, and the two superstars continuing to publicly display their animosity, this is one saga that shows no signs of ending anytime soon.
