Aamir supports Naseer

He is by far the most secure among the top rung of actors in the film industry. Unlike actors who ensure that their roles are the highlight of the films they work in, Aamir has been more than willing to share the spotlight with an ensemble cast — think Dil Chahta Hai, 3 Idiots and now Peekay. He has always said that for him good cinema is more about the script than stardom.

Perhaps that would explain his admiration for acting stalwarts such as Naseeruddin Shah. Aamir recently took some time off to watch Naseer’s film Sona Spa. “It was a great gesture on Aamir’s part to take time out to watch Sona Spa,” our source says. After watching the film Aamir was convinced that the film had potential.
“Apart from praising Naseer, he was also interested in the promotional campaign of the film. He has been checking on the distribution aspect of the film too,” the source adds. On Sunday, Makrand Deshpande, who has directed the film received a text message from Aamir who assured him of his support to help create a buzz for Sona Spa. This, in spite of not having anything to do with the film. Maybe it’s his way of setting a “perfect” example.
