Abhay Deol in Vishal’s Dreams

Vishal Bharadwaj seems to have finally broken the jinx. His movie, Dreams, looks set to take off on schedule after a lot of hits and misses. After Saif Ali Khan walked out of the film, there were rumours that Vivaan Shah (Naseeruddin Shah’s son) will take his place. But Abhay Deol is the chosen one who will play the lead role. This will be the first time that Abhay will be working with a big director like Vishal and Priyanka Chopra plays the leading lady in the film.
Our source said, “Vishal was a bit worried after Saif walked out of the film as he had to get the project together. On the other hand, Deepika also opted out of the film citing date problems, although insiders insist that she didn’t want to work opposite Abhay Deol at this stage of her career. Anyways, Vishal being Vishal, he has now roped in Priyanka Chopra while the role of a second leading lady to replace Deepika is being finalised. The film has two leading ladies.”
The film goes on the floors in January next year. Will working with Vishal bring Abhay some more critical acclaim?
