Abhay ready with debut production

After playing supporting roles in a few films, the last one being Raanjhanaa, Abhay Deol is ready to get back in action as the lead actor. He has completed shooting for One By Two, which is also his debut production. The film has been directed by Devika Bhagat who wrote Manorama Six Feet Under and Aisha.
A source close to the film says, “This is one of the quickest films to have been completed. The film went on the floors in March and took just four months to shoot. As a producer, Abhay has done a fantastic job. In his brief career as an actor, he has always had a view on how films should be made. When he finally got a chance to bring his ideas to the table, he made sure that it counted.”
The film also stars Abhay’s real life girlfriend Preeti Desai who plays the female lead. “Both of them have been thorough professionals. They had fun on the sets like any co-stars would. Abhay, who has a critical eye, didn’t hesitate giving feedback to Preeti on her performance. The film progressed like a breeze,” adds the source.
The film is now on the editing table. When contacted, Abhay confirmed that the shooting is complete and as for the release date, he will be making a formal announcement soon.
