Agneepath too gory for Sanju
Agneepath is fast crossing all box office records and setting newer ones as we talk, and Sanjay Dutt’s act as Kancha Cheena has been widely hailed as a major reason for its success. Menacing and evil, Everything from his look to his laugh won him the viewers’ applause.
But while fans are still watching Kancha with a mixture of fear and awe, Sanjay says he can’t imagine what the big deal is. The macho star, it seems, cannot sit through an Agneepath for the precise reason that it’s too violent for his tastes. “I can’t watch scary movies. I also can’t watch films with too much blood and gore. I like watching comedy or action films like The Matrix,” says the father of three.
But then, considering Sanju has never shied away from doing violent, scary films in the past, does he not watch his own films? Ask him to pick the five favourite films of his, and he certainly does have a bias towards the comedies. “Munnabhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Naam, Saajan and Vaastav are the five favourite films, the ones I’d like my kids to watch when they grow up,” he adds.
