Akki’s back to his khiladi days
After Priyanka Chopra’s exit from Khatron Ke Khiladi franchise, speculation was rife that Salman Khan was being considered for the host’s role. In fact, the buzz was that Salman had even shot a few promos for the same. Now however, the channel that airs the show has stated once and for all that they have reverted to the original host Akshay Kumar.
Says Ashwini Yardi, the programming head of the channel, “Akshay is hosting the show, which is currently being shot in South Africa.” A crew member revealed that Akshay has performed some daredevil stunts, including crashing through the window of an exploding high rise, snatching a bottle from the jaws of an alligator etc. Akki had to go through some rigorous training for the same. He says, “It just feels good to be back to my forte, what I love doing best — adventurous stunts.”
He may be happy to be back, but given Akki’s spate of ill luck at the box office, maybe the makers of KKK should have gone ahead with Salman as a host. What say?
