All that matters to me is the script: Kalki
Kalki, who plays a daayan in Ekta Kapoor’s next horror flick Ek Thi Daayan is glad about making her way into the latter’s production house, but is quick to add that she has never understood the idea of a “camp”.
“I have worked with practically everyone in the industry. From Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee to Anurag Kashyap and Ayan Mukherji. All that matters to me is the script and the character of my role. As for Ekta, it was fantastic working with her. Marketing is her real strength though,” says the actress.
About working with her co-stars Huma and Konkona Sen Sharma she says, “Huma is a beautiful actress. She’s very good at creating an aura of suspicion around her — exactly what a daayan needs. Konkona, I respect a lot as an actress, but unfortunately I don’t have any scenes with her in the film.”
