Amrita’s royal snub

Amrita Singh may have parted ways with Saif Ali Khan on a bitter note, but she maintained cordial relations with her in-laws. Which makes it all the more surprising that she should stay away from Pataudi senior’s funeral last week. What’s more, she even forbade her two children from attending.
“The Pataudis were on good terms with Amrita, even though they were originally against the marriage. It’s believed the couple’s two kids bridged the gap, and the in-laws eventually warmed up to Amrita,” says our source.
But Amrita remained in Mumbai throughout. “She was saddened by the news, but decided to mourn in silence. Going to the funeral would have been awkward for her, Saif and Kareena,” says a source. “She hasn’t been in touch with them since she decided to bring up the kids single-handedly.
However, another reason could be that she’s still sore with Saif over the issue of alimony. It may be recalled that she had accused Saif of not providing her with monetary help. Could that have resulted in this snub?
