Anurag’s Cannes connection

Anurag Kashyap is no stranger to the red carpet circus at the super prestigious Cannes Film Festival, but this year, he’s taking along a very special guest indeed. And no, before you wonder, it isn’t a Bollywood actor or actress from Anurag’s latest project — rather, it’s his 12-year-old daughter. We hear that Anurag’s daughter Alia begged him to allow her to come to Cannes with him, and the doting dad couldn’t help but agree.
“My daughter has me wrapped around her little finger,” said Anurag wryly, confirming the news. “Karan (Johar) has taken on the responsibility of styling my daughter and me for Cannes.”
Anurag isn’t quite known for his sartorial sense, which is why he says he’s more than happy to leave his red carpet look to KJo. He says, “I have complete faith in Karan’s fashion sense. I know he’ll do a spectacular job.” The perfect tuxedo is being put together for Anurag.
Anurag also tells us that his daughter now wants him to try his hand at acting as well. “After the one ad film that I did, she thinks I have it in me to pull off an entire film,” he laughs.
