Anushka owes her career to Aditya

Four-films-old Anushka Sharma is currently the cynosure of all eyes. Besides the buzz about her relationship with Ranveer Singh, she has been in the news for bagging a fourth film with the coveted Yashraj banner — Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.
Ask her if she would have chosen any other debut instead of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and she says, “I wouldn’t have gone into films if it wasn’t Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. I would not have done any other film.”
Remind her that she auditioned for Rab Ne… which suggests that she was interested in acting and she goes on to explain, “No, I went for the audition because the manager I was working with when I was modelling, thought that I was being extremely stupid by saying ‘no’ thinking that films are a dirty world and not good for girls and nonsense like that. I too thought maybe I was coming across as snooty to people who were calling me. So I went and auditioned. Only after I met Aditya Chopra did I realise that I would do this film because he is the antithesis of anything that I have heard about this industry.”
