Arjun opts for streetwear
Superstars are known to be picky about what they wear and seldom look beneath designer wear. But recently Arjun Rampal went off the beaten track. The actor asked his stylists to pick up clothes and accessories for him from roadside stalls, outside Andheri station.
Arjun wanted to don a realistic look for his character in D-Day. “I have always endorsed realism. If the character in question were a flamboyant one, I would have asked for branded wear. But picking up clothes from Andheri station was what the script demanded,” Arjun says.
We hear that the total expenditure on his shoes, shirt and a pair of trousers was
`2,400.
“I have always paid extra attention to my looks in a film. For this role, I had done my research and instructed my team to put together a wardrobe that helps me look the character. I wasn’t aware of the costs but when I got to know, it did come as a surprise. It was as cheap as it could get,” Arjun said.
From Armani to Andheri, that’s quite a leap.
