Assumptions anger Abhay

Abhay Deol is angry! The actor is upset with reports that he turned down the remake of Seeta Aur Geeta. There were stories afloat about how Abhay Deol was offered a role essayed by the late Sanjeev Kumar in the original.

A friend of the actor revealed, “He was never offered the film in the first place, so where is the question of turning it down?” But Abhay believes that Dibakar offering him another film could have caused the confusion. “He is already doing a film with Dibakar, titled Shanghai Express, which also stars Emraan Hashmi. There is another film that the director has offered Abhay, and it is not Seeta Aur Geeta. Ever since the news of Dibakar making Seeta Aur Geeta came out, people just put two and two together and assumed that Abhay would be doing the film.” Currently Abhay is done with shooting for Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara and will soon begin work on Shanghai Express. “The stories about Seeta Aur Geeta are utterly baseless,” added the friend.
