B’day boy Akki sets the pace
Akshay Kumar turned 45 on Sunday, and while the actor is part of as many as five films this year, he seems to be in no mood to be a part of any numbers game.
“The thing is that the whole number game can turn out to be really deadly,” says Akshay, “After all, I won’t be in it forever and there will be a day when I will be happy to make films that just sell. So, rather than me running this big chase for the rest of my career, I would rather make sure that I set the pace.”
Well, so far Akki seems to be maintaining the pace very well. He has already started shooting for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, there are finishing touches given to Khiladi 786, Oh My God OMG is all set to release this month and Special Chabbis and Naam Hai Boss are shaping up well. But the biggest grind is yet to start. Yes, we are talking about the actor’s second child who will make its way into the world any time in September. How prepared is Akki to staying awake overnight and coping with the newborn schedule? Smiles Akshay, “Any sleepless night is worth it for any father. Having said that, I am sure that a child of mine will eat and sleep as peacefully as I do. It should be no different this time around.”
Well, you have all our best wishes Akshay.
