B’wood to welcome 2 jasoos

2014 will see two new jasoos making their way into Bollywood — Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu’s production Jagga Jasoos and Vidya Balan-starrer Bobby Jasoos, co-produced by Dia Mirza and Sahila Sangha.
Ranbir might have been the first one to announce the name of his film, but the clash in the names is entirely a coincidence, assures Dia Mirza who was herself amused when she heard the title of Ranbir’s film. “We were like ‘yeh kya ho raha hai’, says Dia in an animated tone. “This was an idea that had been brewing for a long time in our hearts and mind. Work on the film’s script had started two-and-a-half years ago and Bobby Jasoos as the title was registered eight months ago. It was always going to be this title,” she adds.
“Also what’s really interesting is the reactions we’ve been getting for the title — the first question is, ‘is the protagonist a man or a woman?’ We’ve surprised the audience by roping in Vidya Balan now,” adds co-producer Sahil.
