Bachchans party at a private bash
They may have been the star guests when they drove into Shah Rukh Khan’s Eid bash for the industry on Saturday, but it was at a private celebration later that same evening that the Bachchan family truly let their hair down and had some serious fun.
In his latest blog post, Amitabh Bachchan shared photos (far right) of a dancing Abhishek and a chatty Shweta at a family friend’s engagement celebrations. The Bachchan family was accompanied by filmmaker Karan Johar.
“A private friend’s engagement…later this evening was devoid of rush and clamour,” wrote the Big B, drawing a comparison to the way his Rolls Royce was mobbed at SRK’s Eid party earlier. Waxing eloquent over Shweta and Abhishek’s turn on the dance floor, Bachchan Sr added a kind word for KJo as well. Highlighting an image of Shweta and Karan engrossed in conversation, Bachchan Sr captioned it “childhood closest buddies”, adding, “Karan’s looking much the star, after his recent return from Sri Lanka, where he was shooting for Anuraag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet — as an actor, if you please!”
In keeping with the low profile nature of the engagement party, the Big B chose not to name the friends whose celebration it was. But for the Bachchan family, this was clearly a case of letting the good times roll.
