Back to where it all began
Mallika Sherawat, who has always played up her image as a small town Haryanvi girl who made it big in Bollywood, is playing a role similar to her real-life story for the first time ever. In Amit Chandraa’s Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD), she will be mouthing Haryanvi dialogues, something that has got her very excited.
“It is something that comes naturally to me, and I’ll be very comfortable playing the part,” Mallika enthuses. And while the role will have her returning to her roots, she still has hired Hollywood make-up artistes to make her look pretty. Jeffrey Paul has taken on the role of Mallika’s stylist, though he charges a bomb.
“We’re told that Paul would be charging us a lakh a day. Since it’s a start-to-finish schedule, we’re expecting the cost of make-up to be around `70 lakhs,” says a unit member.
The actress calls this a role she has been craving, and following an indifferent stint in Hollywood, she is actually back to where it all began.
