Bad weather: Mausam

Talking about will they-won’t they stories, heard the latest on Mausam? While reports say it will release on Friday as planned, with the censor board giving its okay despite the lack of a no objection certificate from the Indian Air Force, there may yet be a setback.
In an attempt to convince the authorities, Pankaj Kapur organised a screening for the IAF on Wednesday afternoon, but no news has emerged as yet of the outcome. Trade watchers say Mausam’s makers are preparing for the worst: A week’s delay. “This will mean bad news for Speedy Singh and Hum, Tum Aur Shabana. Mausam too, won’t get the best show timings and theatres as originally planned,” says a veteran trade analyst.
Although newspapers carried advance booking ads for Mausam, there was still confusion over whether internet bookings could be accepted. This is a spell of bad weather indeed.
