Barfi seems silent
Only a few days ago, Anurag Basu went on record saying, “Barfi is not a silent film.”
It came as a surprise considering earlier rumours had suggested that both Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra had little or no dialogues to their credit. But, recent news paints a different picture. Insiders have revealed that the dubbing for the film was complete in just five days, an impossible feat to achieve, unless the film has very little dialogue.
“This was supposed to be a well-kept secret and also the USP of the film. But the cat is out of the bag. Barfi is almost a silent film and experimental to the core. Everybody at UTV was surprised when Anurag informed that he was through with dubbing in five days. Typically it takes a rather long time, especially when stars are involved,” says a source.
No wonder the film was titled Silence at first.
