Barfi song to be re-done

Director Anurag Basu seems to be extra-cautious about his next release Barfi. Since nowadays, it doesn’t even take a second for a song or a scene of an unreleased film to get leaked, this director doesn’t want to take any chances.

Anurag was to shoot a crucial background song featuring Ranbir Kapoor. Apparently, he had shot some scratches of the song on his phone that he, unfortunately, lost a few days later.
“By then the song was shot and was ready to be incorporated in the film. Anurag, however, did not want to take any chances of the song getting leaked. So he asked music director Pritam to come up with a new song, which is being composed currently,” says a source. Even though the song is being replaced, there’s no need to re-shoot the sequences as no lip syncs are involved, because Ranbir plays a deaf and mute character in the film.
