‘This is the best phase of my life’

It’s a great time to be Arjun Rampal! From being panned by one and all for his acting skills — or rather, the lack of it — he is today among the most sought after names for Bollywood filmmakers. Arjun seems to have put his stone-faced performances behind him, and is signing on the juiciest projects, and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine comes just weeks after Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One.
Even Arjun himself is surprised at the successes he’s having, and even calls this the best phase of his career. “It can’t get better than this,” enthused Arjun, who also has his much-hyped TV show Love To Hate You on air these days.
He considers Kareena Kapoor to be a lucky charm of sorts, and all his biggest films have come opposite Bebo. “She is gorgeous. It’s her unmistakable charm that works for me,” he smiles. And another person who has impressed him is Madhur. “We have tried working together in the past, but things didn’t work out. But he’s a dear friend, and I am glad we are finally working together,” he adds.
