Bhatts plan Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin 2
After a series of horror and erotic flicks, the Bhatts are now making a conscious effort to come out with a “clean family entertainer”, if sources are to be believed. They are particularly motivated since Aashiqui 2 has done well at the box office and are now seriously contemplating elevating another Bhatt film to a franchise status. And the chosen one is Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin.
“The Bhatts as well as Bhushan Kumar feel that the film has very good potential of being taken forward as a franchise. There are some serious talks in progress and an announcement is around the corner,” says a source, adding, “Both Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt had gone on record to state that the likes of Raaz, Jannat and Murder are on hold for now and it is time to make some family entertainers. “Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin 2 fits the bill and is pretty much a step in that direction.”
Now it’s almost a given that neither Aamir Khan nor Pooja Bhatt will play the leads in the film since it’s not a sequel per se. But one will have to wait and watch if the makers will again put their money on newcomers. Something that reaped them good benefits with Aashiqui 2, perhaps?”
