Bobby’s cooler than all
Bobby Deol is one cool dude — and we mean that temperamentally. Despite being a star son, Bobby’s never put on any airs; not when he started and certainly not after so many years of working in the industry. That’s probably why most directors love to repeat him, as has been the case with Abbas-Mustan. The director duo apparently swear by Bobby’s cooperative nature.
The story goes that during the last schedule of Players, the film’s team was put up in a small hotel at the North Pole. However, the hotel had barely eight or nine rooms, and the cast and crew had to share the space. “But Bobby was so accommodating,” a unit member says. “There was no starry attitude thrown around, no tantrums. He actually moved around the hotel with a pillow. Wherever he would find a space, that’s where he’d crash for the night.”
We must say, that’s pretty nice of Bobby, considering the stress some stars lay on ensuring their vanity vans are bigger than those of others. While Bobby’s detractors are more likely to attribute his cool outlook to the cool climes of the North Pole, we think it’s a family thing. After all, Bobby’s daddy was known as Garam Dharam and brother Sunny Deol was known for his “dhai kilo ka haath”, but off-screen, the Deol men are all all known to behave in the suavest possible way.
