Bol mat, Bachchan
Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan is just weeks away from release, but fans would notice how the cast and crew of the film have been maintaining a stoic silence, and not a word has been said regarding the film’s details. Well, it appears like they are under orders from Rohit to keep mum.
Rohit, sources tell us, has passed a diktat preventing anybody from giving out details regarding their respective roles or about the film itself.
“Ajay Devgn is always to-the-point, but Abhishek, Asin and Prachi love talking about their films. However, this time, Rohit has asked them to zip their lips, and everybody is expected to follow without asking questions,” informs a source. The reason for this unusual diktat is to avoid controversies or any negativity before the film’s release. “This is getting into Yash Raj territory where actors have to sign an agreement about not revealing the film’s plot. And though it wasn’t formalised in this case, nobody can refuse what Rohit asks them to do,” an insider adds.
Rohit, meanwhile, has his own reasons. He feels that while Singham was being promoted, there were a lot of people who kept asking about similarities between his film and Dabangg. “I must have told about 10,000 people that my film wasn’t Dabangg, but still nobody listened to me. I don’t want that happening with Bol Bachchan now. If my actors open their mouth, they would be asked to reveal more and more, and that would lead to unnecessary comparisons and loose talk. I’d rather my film talk for itself,” he says.
