Bollywood and its clash of the titans

Seems like Bollywood is no mood to learn from its previous mistakes. The last few weeks have seen release dates of several films clashing with each other, leading to an obvious box office disaster to the parties involved.

But that doesn’t seem to warn filmmakers given the number of high profile releases lined up for the next few months.
“To begin with, Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardar will hit the theatres along with SRK’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. And despite the apprehension, no one is backing off,” says an insider. The trend will continue next year as well. “First major clash will be Ajay’s Himmatwala with Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. In March,” confirms our khabru adding , “Later Akshay Kumar and Salman will fight it out at the box office with Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2 and Sher Khan during Eid. That’s not all. Subhash Ghai has announced his comeback film Kaanchi on August 15 — a date blocked for Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha.”
Seems like survival of the fittest it will be!
