Buddhadeb all praise for Nawazuddin

National Award winning director Buddhadeb Dasgupta is all set to release his next film Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Buddhadeb’s earlier Hindi films Andhi Gali, Bagh Bahadur and Woh have earned him a lot of critical acclaim.
The director had the story of Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa around two years ago but he was in search of the right face to play the role of a common man. His search ended when he met Nawazuddin. After seeing Gangs of Wasseypur and Kahaani, he immediately signed Nawaz for Anwar’s character. “I waited for a long time to begin work on the film as I couldn’t find the right face to play Anwar. But when I saw Nawaz, I knew that he would be apt for the role. He’s the most talented actor in the Hindi film industry today. It was after I watched Gangs of Wasseypur and Kahaani that I realised that Nawaz is an actor par excellence,” says Buddhadeb.
