Cops don’t like this ‘shootout’

The John Abraham-Anil Kapoor starrer Shootout At Wadala has hit another rough patch. It seems that the Mumbai police has taken exception to what might be a less than savoury portrayal of them in the film.
“Since Shootout deals with the ‘birth’ of encounter killings in Mumbai, the cops are apprehensive that it would show them in a bad light,” says a trade source. “Sanjay (Gupta) knows that he is bound to ruffle the feathers of the cops with this crime saga set in the 1970s and 80s.”
Sanjay on his part is adamant that he can’t change facts just to suit anybody, adding, “The film is certainly not about cop bashing.” But will the cops think the same, Sanjay?
