Deepika is the chosen one

Rohit Shetty may have said it loud and clear that he hasn’t finalised the female lead for Chennai Express, but our sources have confirmed that’s not quite the case.

Apparently, Deepika Padukone is the chosen one. “The film was bound to have a top ranking actress. Given the current scenario, Priyanka Chopra is out of question. Katrina is already doing a film with SRK (the male lead of the film). So it was down to Deepika and Katrina and Dippy seems to have won the race,” says the source.
If there’s any truth to the tale, then this will mark the return of the hit Om Shanti Om jodi after half a decade. Also Deepika will find herself again right on top what with two films with Saif Ali Khan and one each with megastars Shah Rukh and Rajinikant.
