If remakes are the flavour of the season, why should old classic love stories be left behind? The fact that Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapur have been paired together in Sabir Khan’s Heer Ranjha made news as it was their first time together on screen. But the really interesting bit of news is that this saga is going to be depicted in a modern manner.

Our source said, “People are under the impression that Sabir Khan’s Heer Ranjha will have a period look about it. But that is not the case. This version has a contemporary backdrop. It is based in modern times and will be a complete entertainer meant for the masses,” said our source.
