Desperate for a hit, Pankaj eyes Salman’s star power
Salman Khan is really proving to be a “wanted” star. Recently director Pankaj Parashar approached the actor for his next movie titled Jhakaas. This is going to be the director’s second venture, after Banaras in 2006, with Urmila Matondkar and Ashmit Patel, which proved to be a dud at the box-office.
But this time Pankaj is resolute about making a comeback with Salman in the lead. Apparently, he was earlier in talks with Anil Kapoor, but later changed his mind and zeroed in on Salman Khan. Though Khan has been given a script he is yet to go through it.
But things are far from confirmed. As Salman’s manager Vikas Kapoor informs, “Salman has not signed anything new as yet. Currently, he busy shooting for Anees Bazmee’s Ready in Sri Lanka. He also has his home production Dabanng to attend to, which is almost ready. As of now he is going through a lot of scripts, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.”
