Dippy and Imtiaz set to clash?

Deepika Padukone shares a great equation with Imtiaz Ali. First, Dippy acted in Imtiaz’s Love Aaj Kal. Then, he wrote the script for Cocktail, in which Deepika starred. However, the the two could well be setting themselves up for a box office clash soon.
“Imtiaz’s Highway has been scheduled for release on December 13 for months now. The Randeep Hooda-Alia Bhatt starrer has made good progress too. However, it will now have unexpected competition from Deepika’s Kochadaiiyaan which is expected to release on December 12, which happens to be leading man Rajinikanth’s birthday,” a little birdie told us.
No one had any inkling that a box office clash might be in the offing since there was no release date for the Rajinikanth starrer for many months. But with Eros International finally announcing the film’s arrival, it has put Deepika and Imtiaz in an uncomfortable position, our source added.
