And while on the subject of animosities, here’s one that may just be brewing: Between Kareena and Deepika Padukone no less. Just a day ago, reports emerged that Deepika was being considered to step into Bebo’s shoes in the new film being made by Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor. Apparently, Bebo wasn’t amenable to working with Emraan Hashmi and opted out of the project, citing date issues.
Dippy was quickly approached, and (motivated perhaps by the rather hefty collections that his Jannat 2 garnered at the box office) just as quickly agreed to star opposite Emmie. And all would have been fine — except for one tiny development: She may not be part of the movie after all.
We hear that Karan convinced Kareena to come back on board while she was at his 40th birthday bash. “Yes, Kareena is doing the film opposite Emraan. She did have some date issues, but those are being sorted out,” her spokesperson said on Monday.
