This is one Bollywood story that we’re desperately hoping will have a happy ending. It was the late Feroze Khan’s dearest wish to have a lavish remake of his 1980’s iconic blockbuster Qurbani, with his son Fardeen reprising the lead role. But the project ran into several hurdles.

After Khan’s death, it was expected that his son would carry forward the project. And although Fardeen has been trying to get the film back on track, most filmmakers have shunned the proposal. For instance, reports stated that Fardeen had approached director Sanjay Gupta to helm the remake. However, Sanjay has refused to comment on whether he will be wielding the megaphone. It seems like some divine intervention is needed to revive this film.
