Emraan keeps it low key
Emraan Hashmi is a confident man. Thanks to the success of his last few movies, the actor is in a happy place and undeterred by media speculations over the fact that his co-star Bipasha Basu has taken over the publicity of their recent box office success, Raaz 3. Emraan who seems to be taking a backseat as far as the film’s promotions are concerned, believes it’s a good thing.
“The year started with Jannat 2 and then there was Shanghai. If I become any more visible, it may result in an Emraan Hashmi overdose for the audience. Besides, I have reached a point in my career where I have stopped being insecure. Public appearances mattered during the initial days of my struggle in the industry when I wanted to be the centre of attention,” he says.
Emraan continues that he is not starved for endorsements from other people. “I have had two great years and it’s okay if Bhatt saab chooses to focus all the attention on Bipasha for the moment. I don’t take it personally because I know that I haven’t been robbed of any praise. I am not comfortable if there’s too much speculation about my roles and me anyway. I prefer keeping a low profile now,” he adds.
