Emraan likes to take risks

Emraan Hashmi has always got something up his sleeve. He has been lately seen doing films outside the Bhatt banner and will be soon seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming romcom Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji. Since Madhur is venturing into something new, Emraan feels that is a risky proposition and is glad to be a part of it.
“If the industry says to keep away from something — I do that very thing. I like to take risks, test the waters and do something new. I am more scared of the familiar. The industry wants to see something familiar, but the audiences always want something new. The industry will say that Madhur Bhandarkar will not make a comedy; even if he proves everyone wrong, they will say that it’s a fluke. That is how the industry is. I would rather not listen to them and listen to my own instinct,” he says.
