Fans who have missed watching the King Khan on screen (his last release, My Name Is Khan, was a good 19 months ago) can take heart. Once his magnum opus Ra.One wraps up, SRK will be seen in Yash Chopra’s directorial project co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Apart from that, SRK is also looking at other scripts, among them a Rohit Shetty film.
Shah Rukh confirms, “I am working on three-four scripts now. One of them is Rohit’s — he has narrated a fantastic script to me, which is very nice of him. The timeline of these projects has not yet been decided as I am still a little busy, but Yashji’s film should begin in January.”
Rohit is said to be keen to return to the action genre after the success of Singham, but SRK says their film will not be an action adventure. “It’s a fun film,” SRK says, adding after a thoughtful pause, “Most of the films I do are romantic. Even after wearing tight suits and doing tough stunts, directors known for their action movies come and tell me, ‘Sir, let’s do a romantic film; you will look good in that’.” We must say Shah Rukh, another Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge wouldn’t go amiss.
