Family still comes first

Salman Khan, who has had a hat-trick of blockbusters with Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard, is trying to ensure his extended family too can reap the benefits of his largesse and popularity. Salman is shooting for brother Arbaaz’s Dabangg 2, while he’s just signed Bodyguard 2 with brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. Then, in September, he will begin shooting for brother Sohail’s directorial venture Sher Khan. “Salman has been working almost exclusively for his family members. Sohail, Arbaaz and Atul have been keeping him busy with their respective films,” says a trade analyst.
But given the fact that Salman’s schedule is already jam packed, these films are only going to make things even more chaotic for him. And not only that, he may also be losing out on the opportunity of working with other big filmmakers. “His dates are blocked. There is no way he can accommodate any other film now,” says a close confidante of the star.
Meanwhile, Atul Agnihotri sounds excited about starting work with his superstar brother-in-law soon. “We are definitely working on Bodyguard 2. Salman has already given his consent, and we will be announcing other details soon,” he says.
