Farah-Shirish lock horns

We have heard of best friends clashes and even sibling clashes at the box office, but a clash between husband and wife was never heard of until now. A dramatic twist of fate will have Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder lock horns at the box office when the former’s Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi and the latter’s Joker will hit the screens one after the other.
A trade source says, “Farah’s film will be releasing on August 24 and exactly a week after that Joker will hit the theatres. Since Joker’s a biggie, one can expect it to impact the collections of Shirin...” While the makers of Shirin... are confident that much like several other small-budget successes this year, their film too stands a good chance at the box office, for Farah it is turning out to be a Catch-22 situation. “Shirin.. is very close to Farah as it is her acting debut, but Joker, on the other hand, is her production, so she would only want the best for the film,” says a common friend. Let’s hope the couple manages to laugh this off.
