Farah tries to ‘skirt’ the issue

After cracking the whip on her actors for so many years, it’s now Farah Khan’s turn to be at the receiving end in Shirin Farhad that marks her acting debut. Being a director herself, she realises the importance of cooperating as an actor and hence was a complete sport during the shoot — until she was asked to wear a skirt, that is.
Farah, who has never been seen out of a kurta or a salwar-kameez, got the shock of her life when director Bela Sehgal asker her to wear a knee-length skirt. Recalling the incident, a production member said, “Farah was not convinced at all and she had a lot of doubts whether or not she would be able to pull it off.”
However, she soon got over her initial apprehension and decided to give it a try. “Either you convince Farah or she convinces you. She had a valid point that she would feel very uncomfortable in a skirt. But full marks to her for going ahead with the director’s vision,” says her spokesperson. Well, we can’t wait to have a picture now.
