Farah upset about false news making the rounds
It wasn’t such a pleasant Friday morning for at least two people in B’town: Farah Khan and Ayushmann Khurana. Both had an unpleasant shock when they woke up to a news report that the Vicky Donor actor had refused to feature in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year when Farah approached him for the role.
“Absolutely baseless,” is how Farah terms the news. “This kind of reporting is not done. Even if there was 0.01 per cent of truth to this, I wouldn’t have reacted, but such imaginary tales are below the belt. For the record, I had not even approached Ayushmann. I need an 18-year-old boy for the part. Tell me, how can Ayushmann fit in?”
Farah termed the incident as a possibly scary trend. “Tomorrow someone will write something baseless about my family or me. How much time should I spend defending or clarifying someone else’s thoughts?” she added. The sentiment was echoed by Ayushmann who called up Farah the minute he read the report. “I’ve known him for ages, and such imaginary tales won’t come in the way of our understanding,” Farah said.
In the meantime, the hunt for the fourth actor in Happy New Year continues.
